CHANGES TO THE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM - LETTER TO PATIENTS

Dear Patient

After consultation with the patient participation group and feedback from patients and staff, with effect from Monday 16th July 2018 the practice is changing the appointment system in the mornings.

As you are aware, the NHS is under a huge amount of pressure and Guiseley and Yeadon Medical Centre is no different. We need to be able to offer a safe and sustainable service to our patients who remain our priority in everything we do.

As such, from 8 am on Monday the 16th July you can make appointments by walking into either Yeadon Health Centre or Netherfield Road Surgery to book a same day appointment. You will be allocated a time slot for your appointment at either surgery which maybe later that morning.

Once all slots are fully booked the walk in clinic will close.

Reception have been asked to briefly enquire as to why you need an appointment so that we can ensure that you are directed to the best person to help you and to ensure that appointments are used effectively and efficiently.

This system will allow us to provide more pre bookable appointments for patients to book into, either on the phone, in person at reception or on line.

We appreciate your patience whilst we introduce our new system and can reassure that we will regularly evaluate it and ensure it is still the best model of care for our patients.
